The police department is responsible for providing police services to the residents of our city and the many visitors enjoying tourism and trade in Mountain Home, Arkansas. If we can assist you, contact us. Service is our only product and we strive to make it the best.

It is our goal to inform the community about your police department's philosophy, programs, and operations. With this knowledge, the police and the community can work together in making our community a better place to live. We are confronted with community growth that requires a strong community policing effort to meet the present and future demands for police services. Working together, we can meet this challenge.

3 individuals arrested on drug charges-search warrant executed at apartment near high school

PRESS RELEASE

12/15/14

On Monday, December 15, 2014, officers with the Mountain Home Police Department and the Arkansas State Police served a search warrant at a Mill Creek Apartment located on Bucher Drive. The search warrant was the result of a one month investigation into the distribution of narcotics.

During the search, a 1997 Ford Ranger pickup, a quantity of methamphetamine, and items used to package and distribute methamphetamine were confiscated. Three individuals were charged with the following: 

Chris Lee, w/m, 34 of Mountain Home was incarcerated in the Baxter County Detention Center with bond set at $50,000

Delivery of Controlled Substance (methamphetamine), (3) counts, class B felony

Distribution or Possession with Intent to Deliver Near Certain Facilities, (4) counts, unclassified

Counts of Unlawful Use of Communication Device, (3) counts, class C felony

Possession of Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver, class A felony

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, class B felony

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, class D felony

Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, class Y felony

 

Mitch Simpson, w/m, 34 of Mountain Home was incarcerated in the Baxter County Detention Center with bond set at $30,000

Possession of Controlled Substance with the Purpose to Deliver, class A felony

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, class B felony

Distribution or Possession with Intent to Deliver Near Certain Facilities, unclassified

Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, class Y felony

Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons, class B felony

 

Bobby Gilley, w/m, 27 of Mountain Home was incarcerated in the Baxter County Detention Center with bond set at $30,000

Possession of Controlled Substance with the Purpose to Deliver, class A felony

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, class B felony

Distribution or Possession with Intent to Deliver Near Certain Facilities, unclassified

Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, class Y felony

Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons, class B felony
