3 arrested for armed robbery and theft of property
Published: December 29, 2014

On Sunday, December 28, 2014 at approximately 10:30 PM patrol officers responded to a complaint of an armed robbery that occurred on Blackburn Dr. about 30 to 40 ft. West of County Road 390. The suspect fled on foot prior to the arrival of officers. Information obtained was that the suspect was wearing a blue bandana over his face and a camouflage coat. The victim stated that her purse, valued at $500 and contents, were taken by the suspect as well as another purse belonging to a passenger.

During the course of the investigation, criminal investigators learned that two people that were riding in the vehicle with the victim, planned the robbery with a third individual. Today, the three individuals involved with the planning and involved in carrying out the armed robbery were located at a local apartment complex. The three individuals were interviewed by criminal investigators and confessed to the robbery.

The incident occurred with the victim, ARIHONNA MURPHY, driving her vehicle with passengers CHAYSE A BROWN and TYLER AKERS in the vehicle. When the vehicle stopped at the robbery location, they were approached by TREVOR HORN and the shotgun was pointed at individuals in the vehicle.

This location was prearranged by the individuals for the victim to stop her vehicle. TREVOR demanded and received two purses, one belonging to the victim and one belonging to TYLER AKERS. The victim’s purse was located in a wooded area not far from the intersection of Blackburn Dr. and County Road 390. The purse belonging to TYLER AKERS, the weapon (pump shotgun), and camouflage coat was located in the local apartment complex where TREVOR HORN, CHAYSE A BROWN, and TYLER AKERS were located.

The motive for staging the robbery was to steal money from the victim, but the victim removed her wallet from her purse prior to giving it to the robber. The investigation also revealed the shotgun was not loaded with ammunition at the time of the robbery. The individuals were charged with the following offenses and incarcerated in the Baxter County Detention Facility with bond set at $50,000 each:

TREVOR HORN,  W/M, 22 of Mountain Home(currently in the military and stationed at Fort Benning, GA, charged with Aggravated Robbery, class Y felony, and misdemeanor Theft of Property
