Vehicle Break-ins and Theft of Property

Oct 29, 2019 | News | 0 comments

Citizens are reminded to consider removing valuables from and locking the doors of parked and unattended vehicles.  While a vehicle may be entered and items stolen at any time, this is especially important during the nighttime hours when vehicles are not secured in a garage or other facility.

The police department has received 12 reports of vehicle entries recently. Vehicles have been left unlocked and most have been entered while parked in residential areas after 8 pm. Most commonly stolen items are weapons, money, identification cards, membership cards, watch, prescription drug, laptop, checkbook, knife, and a safe.

Criminal investigators are continuing their investigation into the thefts. If you have any information that may help investigators, please call the police department at 870-425-6336 or other law enforcement agency. You may also send a secure message through the police department’s website www.mtnhomepolice.com.
